There seems to be premultiplied alpha on the UI layer, causing darkening on transparent elements.

This introduces a couple issues for UI apps:
    • Rounded elements with bright backgrounds, as well as text without a background will appear aliased, worsening readability
    • Anything with low opacity appears dark
    • Glow effects appear as shadows
These issues unfortunately make creating light themed UI apps difficult, as introducing any sort of translucency causes the white background to appear gray.

To demonstrate this, I made a very simple example UI app to easily replicate this problem.

    Expected result:
    transparency2.png

    Actual result:
    transparency1.png

I'm not sure if this is a limitation of the Chrome Embedded Framework but I hope it can be fixed somehow.
