Trouble getting game to load.

    Updated the game and went to load it with steam and all I get is the icon on the start menu game is running but wont do anything, when I mouse over the icon in the start menu I can see it running but it wont go to full monitor. Have trying safe mode does not work, set steam to windows 8 does nothing all drivers are up to date.
