    Greetings Everyone !

I'm beginning my very first vehicle in this game. This will be a truck with a trailer because i can't wait any more to the Gavril T75 ;)

The original 3D model was not made by me, you can find it here : http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/trailer-94471.html (by silviuq12).

I'm using it as a reference to do a low poly version. The original model counts about 296.000 tris. I want to be as near as the Gavril H Boxed model (around 68.000 tris) you can compare my work to the original just after this :

My base counts around 63.000 tris now. For now i focus on creation of a full low poly version, including mechanical parts (which are already done in the original version). After this i will experiment node creation, etc.

It's actually the Gavril T75 but we all know what you meant. ;)

It looks sweet but you should have used a T660...

I was about to yell at you for stealing a model and passing it off as your first model, but you said it isn't yours so good for you.

I can't wait to see this thing in game!

Awesome man, it may take some time but persevere and you will have a great vehicle to add to BeamNG, a lot of people will like it as well.
I can see it now 'Gabe vs Aknout, clash of the Transports!'

Also, the thing i like is not only he gave credit but he is reducing the poly's by himself not just getting the model into the game and jbeaming it.

I don't know what to think about this, I feel that your cheating. People spend a lot of time modelling and you've just rocked up with one you didn't make.

Nice! I need to learn how to do that, I'll check the blender wiki! There are a lot of nice cars and trucks on TF3DM

There is some procedural process to recover an existing mesh with a lower poly one in 3DSMAX. I learned it during my 3d studies but forgot it :(

I'm doing this on my own, but this is far interesting :)

Are you deleting the edges or using a different process?

First i thought i will delete the edges. But i can't do it because the mesh conversion during import process creates mores edges like this :

This edges block ring or loop selection in 3DSMAX, so i have to recreate the mesh from scratch every time i want to reduce the polycount...

How do you create the mesh from scratch? Do you trace over the original mesh?
