Hi! I'm really new into mods, and this is my first attempt to make a new object for a game, I'm trying to import a car from Fallout 4, I have converted it to blender and then followed the basic vehicle creation tutorial from the Beamng's wiki, but when I start the game, go to the grid map and select the vehicle I created to test it, the game just crash, I really don't know what I'm doing wrong, if someone can help me I'll be grateful, (I'll attach the .jbeam). (Sorry for my bad English).
You have WAY too many nodes and beams. Official vehicles have around 800-1000 max, youre vehicle has over 12,000... Im assuming you tried to convert the mesh itself into a node beam, this is not how you make a vehicle and I dont believe any tutorial says to do it this way (if there is one please post it here so we can fix it). The node beam physics model should be a massively simplified version of the vehicles mesh you are trying to create. To get an idea of what it should look like, spawn any one of the games default vehicles and then press ctrl+b to see its node beam model. I suggest you start here to get a better idea of how the games physics work - http://wiki.beamng.com/JBeam_Introduction Its a lot of reading but it will help a lot in understanding what you should do, lots of good info on that page. Mod making is a lot of work, can be very rewarding though, good luck
Thank you very much for the answer! And yes, you're right, as I said, this is my first try to a do mod, and I was thinking that I had to use the mesh itself to do the nodes and beams, so I tried to put the simple cube from blender and put it in the place of the 12k nodes, and it opened inside the game. Thanks again!
