Turbocharger

I can no longer remove the turbocharger on the 2.0 petrol/diesel engines in the K Series and 800 Series. Is this a bug, or has the feature been removed? If it has been removed, it should be reinstated, if it is a bug, it should be fixed

 

Can you tell us how exactly did you processed to remove the turbocharger?

 

I cannot remove the turbocharger either. On both too.

 

The part manager doesn't let you remove the turbo, the option for "empty" doesn't exist. It's because in the engine's jbeam the part is listed as a core part that shouldn't be removed.

 

i used to open the parts manager, go down to engine, and where it said "turbocharger" i could put "empty", which was kind of fun to do (because i am rather strange) and it made the 800 series with the non-turbo i4 diesel deathly slow. This used to work for I4 diesel and petrol and the i6 diesel

 

can't from petrol either though

 

i found it entertaining to use it without one, this could be because I am strange, but surely it wouldnt be too much effort to reinstate the removal feature?
