UK Number Plates! This is my first mod for BeamNG, Number Plates, Yellow & White, Displaying the reg BK10 MFV. Due to the current limitations of the game, you can only have either yellow or white active at the same time. Please only use one of the files at a time. This mod will not work with other number plate mods. Installation: Put either UK White Plates.zip or UK Yellow Plates.zip into your mods section. DO NOT EXTRACT. Did you randomly type that reg? It appears it's registered to a double-decker bus. To be precise, this one (a Volvo Wright Eclipse Gemini 2).
I don't do bus spotting, but I can identify a few of them. I do like Plaxton Pointers. There's just something about them.
Ahh, I have Pointers on the local Arriva route in my area, although my favourite are the Optare Solos which can be occasionally seen on that route. --- Post updated --- OK, an update; I am finding it difficult to update this to the new skin system, I was wondering if I could have some assistance. Not sure even where to start using that, how do I make a part file, how would I pack it in a ZIP ect.
The part is a jbeam file. You'd pack it in a zip like you did for this mod. Assuming things haven't changed since that thread, you'd need to edit the car's main jbeam file to add a new slot for the skin. This could cause problems in the future if the main jbeam gets updated.
One of the things that the devs said when I tried to put this mod on the download area was that the Plate system was about to get a massive update. Not sure if that has happened yet, but I will hold off until more information becomes available. If somebody wants to put this as a skin, feel free to, just do not re-upload it without permission.
Ah yes... The plate system update hasn't happened yet. I assume it's going to be something where you can type in what you want to be on the plate. I think it'll work the same way that the navigation screen works in the ETK.
