Unable to quit to desktop

So according to the game controls Ctrl+esc is the shortcut to exit the game. However because that is also the shortcut to open the start menu in Windows (why they do that I have no idea) so instead of the game seeing this as ever being pressed it just opens the start menu. I'm sure there's a way to go and change that control but I wouldn't know where to begin and so I am wondering if getting rid of that particular shortcut through windows would be easier than changing the controls in the game.

Really not a huge issue because I can just exit to the menu and quit that way it just takes a few seconds longer.

 

You can also use keys set up such as ALT + TAB , Windows button + Tab or CTRL + ALT + Delete and select task manager and end the BeamNG task to close the game

 

Or if you run windowed, click the exit button in the top right....

 

Windowed is ugly, ha. I like borderless windowed but that doesn't have the exit. Are the controls editable in like the ini or something? Or is that a difficult task to do if you even know?

Like I said it's not really detrimental to my playing the game I just like to quit out of games as fast as I can when I am done playing them. F10 out of CS:GO all day/Alt+F4 out of most other games too.
