TL;DR: If it's possible, please combine the Hopper and Bluebuck's engines into one amazing 'classic' straight-six (with the requisite Moonhawk parts to go with it). It'd solve so many issues with the 4-liter sixes in this game. If that's not possible, just having the Bluebuck's six replace the Barstow's and Moonhawk's (and the Hopper's six replace the D/H/Roamer's woefully outdated counterpart) with the appropriate parts would be fine. I am going to preface this by saying that...I'm happy that the D/H/Roamer have gotten so much attention over the past two updates. Just look at how much stuff they've gotten! Long and sidestep beds for the D-Series. Extended bodies for the H-Series/Roamer, as well as a new H35 heavy-duty van. 1985 parts for the D-Series that finally give us the original D-Series hinted at so long ago. Not-Bronco and not-Bronco Centurion bodies/frames for the D-Series. New fender flares, body kits, and many more trim levels. Remastered Jbeams that allow the body and frame to separate. Glass tints, rear spare tires, drag and race parts. And many, many more things that I can't quite remember. All of that is cool and good, but...there is one thing in the D/H/Roamer lineup (is there a chassis name for these that I can use?) that sticks out in terms of quality. (Pic thanks to @HeepXJ40) That. That is the straight-six that hasn't been updated in like...ever. Just look at how badly it stands out in this engine bay. All those beautiful textures and models of wires and accessories and then that...lump in the middle. And the Moonhawk straight-six is just as bad. The Barstow six is good enough, but it's still a bit outdated next to engines like the SOHC Gavril V8. However, there are two straight-sixes from more recent vehicles that could replace these old relics: the 3.8-liter Bluebuck engine and the 4.0-liter Hopper engine. The former could be placed in the Barstow and the 1985 D-Series, or the Moonhawk with a different valve cover. Only different exhausts and some wire work would be required for the 'Buck six to fit into these vehicles. The Hopper engine - since it's so generic - could replace the current 4.1-liter Gavril six without "lore issues". Again, exhaust and wiring changes would be required, but not much else from what I can see. And just like that, five similar engines stripped down to two basic versions - "classic" and "modern". Much easier to handle, modify, and maintain. But I think we could go further. If it is at all possible, these two engines, when combined like the classic V8 engines in the Moonhawk/Barstow/Burnside/Bluebuck ... ...and placed in the "common" folder could allow for even easier maintenance and modification of the files. It'd also allow for more tuning parts. With a universal 4-liter six (or the "classic" and "modern" sixes), things like four-barrel carbs, fuel injection, turbochargers and superchargers suddenly make sense. It'd make the straight-sixes viable options in the game - not just "those engines" that nobody ever uses. I know...this is possibly a very big request, and it may not happen for months or years, but it's something that I've wanted to see for a long time. -DC87
