Unreasonably weak Ibushu Covet drivetrain

The Covet is now my new favorite car in BeamNG, but I have been having issues with it. The transmission seems to lock up pretty much whenever it wants to, at any hint of hard driving. It will do this with the same sound that normally comes from a regular crash, and then I can't rev the engine at all unless I have the clutch in. There are no mods currently applied to this car. Any advice/reasons why this is happening would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Especially prone to happen whenever I try to come out of a fishtail, land a jump sideways or hit a curb at an angle.
