Unwanted Parking Brake Engagement

Recently, there has been a glitch where the game engages the parking brake, for no reason. It often happens at, or right after respawning a vehicle, or when traveling at high speeds. This happens both when I'm driving the car, or the Ai. And, this happens in all vehicles.

I don't have any mods, other than maps, and this has happened with a few versions of the game.

The parking brake (toggle) is mapped to (P) on my keyboard. However, I play with a PS4 controller. I have the "temporary parking brake" mapped to the controller, so I don't believe it's the controller.

This happens over wired and Bluetooth connections. And I believe when I don't use the controller all together, but I'd have to test for that.

 

I personally have never had this problem.

Just to make sure we understand, the parking brake engages and doesn't disengage until you manually disengage it, correct? Could you also confirm that the parking brake doesn't engage while traveling at low speeds? If it does, then it likely isn't the game, and something on your end.

 

That is correc. It can engage at any time, but seems to be most common after respawning or at higher speeds.
