So, when a car with my engine and transmission hits a certain speed, it stops accelerating. "Hits its limiter like a brick wall", like Car magazine once said. The problem is, no speed limiter of any kind should be there. File is included and can be tested on I-series.
This is possibly at the point where the drag on your car is too much for your engine at the current gear ratio, so instead of accelerating it simply stays at whatever speed it was previously. I recommend setting drag lower and seeing if that helps.
Or just add more power. You can open the dyno app and see how much power is your engine producing at that speed. If for some reason it would cut power, you would see a sudden drop in power.
I have four engines on this car: two under 300 hp and two over 300 hp. The two weaker ones perform well. The two powerful ones have this problem.
I tried to replicate this car's drivetrain: http://www.automobile-catalog.com/car/1995/1503395/bmw_850_csi.html --- Post updated --- Update: got differential ratios to be like on the real thing, now it works like it should!
