    Quite possibly!
But I'd say the displacements of the two largest engines could also be reversed, just like in the Charger (6.3 NA and 6.0 Supercharged in the BeamNG car, 6.4/392ci NA and 6.2 Supercharged in the Charger)!
But they also could be a bit larger than that: 6.6l/400ci for the NA V8, 6.3l/384ci for the Supercharged V8!

Well TDK did say that they are working on a new sound system for engine sounds and stuff that's supposed to be beyond that of Forza Horizon 5... so I wonder what it will bring

... and if it has an hybrid powertrain, it could have an I4 or a V6 :p

Btw, in my opinion, an I4, even without hybridation is possible (maybe not if it's an American car), like a 2.0 turbo and 275hp

About the sounds what i meant is like: the barstow and moonhawk inline engine 6 has a very "new" sound for the engine q is e
There could also be sounds of an I6 with direct exhaust and engines in malfunction and bad conditions but now one thing I think would be cool but it's already a lot of mine is to have different sounds of engines with the same amount of cylinders but with different sounds according to the nationality of the engine

I hope they sound realistic, just like they do now.

A V6 Hybrid could be very interesting for this car if it's American.
The Inline-4 Hybrid powertrain could be used for a different car. Let's say a Vivace 200h, with the 1.6l, 160hp Inline-4 Turbo coupled to a 40hp electric motor and batteries large enough for true Plug-In Hybrid/Electric mobility.
Hell, hybridization could also be applied to the 2.5 Inline-5, for making a crazy "Vivace S 510Q Arsenic Hybride" version, equipped with a 100hp electric motor or even two 50hp electric motors, one on each axle!
And why not step it up even more and couple the Inline-5 to two 100hp motors, one on each axle, for making a Vivace S 610Q Arsenic Hybride?:cool:

...am i just misresding your post or something? Because the 90s Pessima, LeGran and Wendover all have V6s, and multiple cars in the game have superchargers...

Well engine sounds are more so just placeholder samples anyway, the only car that has proper unique sounds has to be the FCV platform atm.

I'd say all cars sound properly realistic, I don't find any reason for the sounds to be changed. Well, except for the Hirochi Sunburst and the modern ETKs with the gas 4-cylinder, these cars could have more refined 4-cylinder sounds! But yeah, can't find a reason for the rest of them why they don't sound realistic!

There are vanilla V6s, sure, but none of them is found in an FR configuration (and we're not counting the FF configurations that turn into FR with a RWD Transfer Case :p)! The new car may change this!

It's not they doesn't sound realistic, it's more they could have more varied sounds, that are more period-correct.

True that but, apart from the modern ETKs and the Sunburst, all the other cars are quite old! The Inline-4 sound of the old cars is coarse and not too muffled, therefore fitting well to the specific chronologies of each of them! Only the Sunburst and the modern ETKs need this sound changed!
    --- Post updated ---
Hmmm... I find the current "old Inline-4 sound" to be OK for the 4-cylinders that were made from the 60s (Miramar) to the 90s ('96 Pessima, Hopper, LeGran). Besides, the rattliness is already varied between the cars based on their chronologies! I don't say you're wrong, don't get me wrong, I just think they're OK as they are now (unless the Team finds a good way of showing us the opposite - your "period-correct" phrase is very true in this case).

Wait till everyone, including me (a supporter of the GM successor idea) realizes that the devs don't actually create lore till they see what everyone likes, and then just name the car from there.

I mean, it's pretty obvious it's trying to be some kind of very large sport sedan, plus it's not quite refined enough to be completely European

About engine sounds. Where it is true that same type of engine would sound similar the way how it is build also matters. Is it have flat plane crank or crossplane or other? What is the firing order? Is this a SOHC or DOHC? How manifold exhaust looks like, how many mufflers etc.

So for example K-series with I4 engine should sound a little bit different than a Sunburst with I4 engine. However they sound very similar in game and if you take off the exhaust they sound exactly the same.

My bad! I meant *modern* V6. But in any case, we don't have any V6 FR layout cars, as pointed out earlier in this thread. The Dodge Charger is FR and FA, so maybe we will get both? Also, I know about the superchargers in the game, but I wanted to hear the supercharger whine on a modern car, as it is one of those things only reserved for extremely fast muscle cars, which BeamNG doesn't have, and no, the K-Series isn't supercharged. (even though I love it)

Hadn't thought about the differences between the OHV/SOHC/DOHC intakes and the firing order! Also, the crossplane crankshaft sounds are more "crunchy" than the flatplane ones and the flatplane crankshaft is represented by the Bolide (besides, this is shown in the game files, where there's a "flatplane sound" IIRC)!
The 4-cylinder ETK K-Series sounding the same as the Sunburst is absolutely wrong! It should sound more like the 4-cylinder FCVs!
