Update the tutorial on making Apps please!

I have 3 mods waiting for a UI and i can't get my head on how to make an app, its confusing and the tutorial date from a big while ago.

Got it to work a bit but

"domElement": "<ai-control></ai-control>",

What should i change this to? if i change it the app UI is blank.

 

Why not try looking at how the official apps work?
They're in BeamNG.drive\ui\modules\apps

 

I did that SEVERAL time

Still not working, i mean, i can edit the html well, and the app name and everything

But the only line idk what to do is this line : "domElement": "<ai-control></ai-control>",

If i change it to anything my app is not linked to the html, and if i leave it like that its linked to the html of the ai app

Thing is, there is not a single thing named ai-control in the AI apps code. so im clueless as to what i have to put there.

 

Renaming it worked fine for me. If you post what you have here I might be able to do more.

Doesn't matter, I think. I tried "testapp" and "asdfasdfasdf" myself.

Edit: Hm, maybe not. I think I know what you mean now. I'll look some more.

 

Its alright Tdev, take your time, I can still code my app using the other app's html so it'll be already coded when its fixed!
