Updating BeamnNG wont work

    Hello.
    After not updating BeamNG for quite a while now I wanted to update it.
    But when I start the updater it crashes after about 2 minuites.
    Saying:

    FATAL ERROR

    unable to download file: version.txt
    Couldnt connect to server.

    Can anybody help?

    The standalone updater was discontinued a few years ago now...
    Contact support to get your steam key
