So my mod contains a lot of customised lightbars, which do not appear in 0.9.0, and I was wondering how to update them. (In particular, the one for the SBR4) (link to the mod) https://www.beamng.com/resources/bhorton-skin-pack.1206/
Yes, but it does not state what changes are actually needed. I have had a go myself, but that just leads to cars becoming invisible.
Do your lightbars fall into the first or second category? EDIT: You mentioned the SBR4 specifically. What lightbar do you want to add to it? (eg from what source vehicle)
I am not sure what category, but I already had a lightbar on the SBR4 in my mod, taken from the Sunburst.
A bit rushed, but should be legible: Content_Creation_Changelog_0.9.0 Feel free to ask if anything is not clear.
OK, I have tried this, however the sunburst now does not show up in game at all. I have attached the .jbeam for the lightbar, and the materials.cs file from my modified common/lightbar
Check your console / game logs, it will tell what's wrong. Shouldn't be causing the issue, but your materials.cs is plenty of typos: You missed a } in your .jbeam, which caused the entire vehicle to not load. Anyhow, that's nothing related to the lightbars changes, that's an issue with the Jbeam itself. Solved that, you have to fix your materials.
You have made your own meshes or? There is no such material/mesh named like that in the official files. Anyway, read my post above, it explains where's your error is.
I have not - (I saw where I went wrong) - I am now trying to locate where I made reference to the old mesh files in my mod (as that appears to be the issue now according to the console)
I suggest to update your custom meshes, as the original ones changed in order to be used with the new pattern system
Sorry, I think there have been some crossed wires - I did not make custom meshes, the mod is just a re-texture of the default lightbar. The issue now is that it is trying to use the old names of the default meshes, not the new ones.
Ah ok. That means the .Jbeam is trying to load the old meshes, which have changed names. Update your.Jbeam flexbody section with the correct names. ( See guide I made above )
I tried your file, works fine here: (apart the material errors) Did you forget an older version of that somewhere? Maybe the game is loading that one instead of the new file.
Found an old version lurking in the beta files, the lightbar is in game now, just with some missing textures --- Post updated --- The textures, in case those are the issue --- Post updated --- Working perfectly now, thanks @Nadeox1
I see you're good with lightbars. Do you happen to know if there's any way to put a sunburst High speed unit LED lightbar on a Gavril Grand Marshal?
Yes, you just need to copy the .jbeams, and then change the positions around - I am not very good at tutorials however.
