When I attempt to launch beamng through steam in either experimental or stable build, I get the same error message and the game crashes. The message reads:

Failed to initialize Direct3d! Make sure you have Direct x9 installed, and are running a graphics card that supports Pixel shader 1.1.

My graphics card runs direct x11, so i do not understand the problem. I would appreciate the help.

DirectX11 offers no backward compatibility for DX9, you do need to install DX9 and ensure GPU drivers are upto date.
