As a precursor to this, I have not cleared my cache yet since this problem started right after a deep clear so for all I know for the time being, that may have caused this issue in the first place. However, I have run an integrity check on the game both through the support tools in the launcher and through Steam. Neither of these have worked, otherwise I would not be making this thread. While trying to resolve a long-standing issue I've been having with the D-Series (see the thread here), I have inadvertently created a new, much more pressing bug. Regardless of plate design or vehicle, the textures for the standard US license plates in the game are completely broken. Unlike with the D-Series which I have been able to ignore for the most part, this problem is going to be far too irritating for me to leave unresolved for much longer. I can't make sense of anything in the console and since I have avoided adding any new mods since making my D-Series thread earlier this week, I am clueless on how this happened and how to fix it short of a fresh install, which is an absolute last resort. Since this issue started when trying to fix a problem with one vehicle, I am hesitant to try anything unless I'm certain it will work.
Hello again! As I wrote in your previous thread,try to temporarily disable all mods in the game,there are buttons in the repository that can turn off or on all mods with one click. Try to do a deep cache cleaning,or run the game in safe mode!
At this point, I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and do what I probably should've done months ago - delete all my repo mods, uninstall the game and start fresh reinstalling it on a new drive. Much of the advice I've gotten here is just crap I've already tried which hasn't worked and the rest hasn't been that much help if I'm completely honest. If starting over doesn't work, I don't know what will.
After some gruelling trial and error, I've figured out that the culprit is RealVector's Scandinavian License Plate Pack. I only wish it didn't take wiping all of my subscriptions and losing some of my mods permanently to find that out, but it's too late to change that now.
