Not to make you sad or anything, but that model needs more work... It's very boxy & probably isn't suited too much for BeamNG at this point
Yes, and I am working on it. --- Post updated --- thank you a lot, but I already know these resources.
Yeah, maybe, but you stated the model is 90% complete but i'm affraid it's far from there. Did you used a bluprint for this ? it doesn't look like the real car and the mesh looks messy. The resources given to you are good, if you know them you probably don't need more and just train. Not wanting to discourage you but you're only in the early learning process regarding modeling, this is not a beamNG mod at all at this stage. You ask help for all the big technical part, but nobody will help you with the current quality. I tell you all of that because you opened a thread. it's better to learn and get to a good level of modelling, then starting posting on modding threads. I tell you that to avoid all the critics you'll receive that could really discourage you. Posting too early is never a good idea. train yourself and you'll improve.
This is not the end option and I am working on it. --- Post updated --- If you know, tell me how to do it.
Well it's not really as simple as 'tell me how to do it'... An in depth knowledge of a modelling software and an understanding of coding is required before you can really make a vehicle. Watching tutorials and reading books/websites are the best way to learn how to use these programs.
I would suggest, a good way to start is to make a copy of the official vehicle's parts, and then edit and modify them. see how many polygons there are, how much detail there is in certain areas etc., and only then you can go back to the lada, probably remake parts of it, and then it could definitely be a great mod!
I found this thread useful for starting working with JBeam: https://www.beamng.com/threads/tutorial-porting-engines-and-other-parts-inbetween-vehicles.28730/
Check out Ninteynine’s modding streams. They are not a trutorial but they give you a good idea on poly flow etc. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6PcczjQdZ6Tua_J1xhAcWQ
Does anyone know a VIDEO on modding in BeamNG Drive? Many Thanks!!!
