Vehicle Control not switching

I have been experiencing this weird glitch the last couple of days.
When I spawn in (any map, any vehicle), the game acts normal. I can drive the vehicle. When I spawn in another vehicle, the game acts normal, I can drive newly spawned vehicle.

Here's the bug/gitch/error:
When I tab back to the first vehicle, my controller (Xbox ONE Controller) is still "linked" to the second vehicle spawned. I can control the current vehicle with the keyboard, no problems, but the controller's control will not switch to the current vehicle. I tested with a third and fourth vehicle, same problem, controller is still "linked" to second vehicle's control.

I have noticed that a message pops up top right screen saying "Player0" and "Player1" with two arrows, one left, one right. If switch between them, nothing happens.
I thought it could have been a mod, so I removed all my mods, cleared cache, same problem.

Any idea how to fix/remedy this?

disable multiseat in the options

I have no idea when/how I activated that option, unticked the box, boom, all sorted.
