I'm curious if anyone can explain this problem:

I am using a keyboard. When I take 4x4 vehicles and try to climb up hills or rock crawl, I try to do so with a manual transmission/automatic clutch and in arcade automatic, but I prefer manual w/auto clutch. When I keep it in first gear if the rpms drop down the vehicle essentially stalls out and I have to shift to neutral, rev the engine, then back to 1st gear to get the vehicle to move again.

    Does anyone have this issue?

    Thanks

Right now the clutch in manual automatic clutch -mode seems to be on/off while it works smoothly in arcade automatic -mode

Left is brake, right is clutch (manual with auto clutch)

    Edit: With arcade automatic: Hill
    With manual (auto clutch): Hill

    E: fixed :)

keep pressing shift to ride the clutch, if it happens on level ground then its because your clutch torque is too high, you can change the clutch torque in the engine jbeam

Still nowhere near as good as working clutch in arcade mode.

well the arcade automatic uses the same clutch logic as the realistic automatic, you should put this in the suggestions actually, a manual with a proper automatic clutch, AKA its a limitation of the game at this point

    Manual car

    Arcade
    - Gear change: Computer
    - Clutch: Computer (working: SMOOTHLY)

    Manual automatic clutch
    - Gear change: Player
    - Clutch: Computer (working: ON/OFF)

    Realistic Manual
    - Gear change: Player
    - Clutch: Player

So: put arcade -mode's clutch to manual w/auto clutch -mode.

Actually, I have the same problem with arcade automatic. Lets say I'm going up a hill with a truck and it is a very narrow passage and my tires begin to spin. The rpms will slowly die down to idle and then it acts as thought I have my foot off the gas for a few seconds then it may take off again or I may have to let up off the gas and push it again or I may have to shift into reverse then drive again.

This still needs to be fixed:

(left: 5/5 works perfect | right: clutch is ON/OFF)

    Gas | Brake | Clutch | Handbrake
