I am surprised that no one on this forum has once brought up that the Gavril D-Series, H-Series, Grand Marshal and the Ibishu Covet have no sun visors on them. Just wanted to bring that up so that they can be hopefully added to them.

Now that I notice it, it does look quite odd. Hope they add em in soon.

That makes sense, they are the first four vehicles ever added to the game, meaning they all have dirty little secrets the Devs have to cover up from their early days of development, I guess that's just a reminder of what it was like when it was first released, small little stuff like that

I'm quite certain there just was a topic about this which I did replied and even Nadeox did like of that sunvisor organizer post.

For some reason I can't find that topic anymore?

Anyway it is untapped potential, Covet especially needs things like these (also you need to have something to fell off from there and things that flip open blocking your view when driving too rough):

Yeah, I'd like to see more accessories like roof racks, stickers, items laying around, etc. Not only for more realistic crashes, but also to add a personal touch to your cars.

I'd find it cool if the sun visors in the interior could be on hinges, and using the node grabber, you could pull them down and put them back up

It'd also feel a lot more like a real vehicle, since plenty of cars do have sun visors (my parents vehicles for example have them).

It kinda would help to make those if cars would have unused slot, which you can put sub slots. There is additional modification, but afaik you can't make extra slots under that? Update: Oh yes, you could make extra slots, but you can have only one mod using additional modification slot, so having something like 4 or 6 additional modification slots would allow different mods to be used or then we could come up with modslot extension mod, or something.

I mean it would not be so hard to make stuffed animals, pillows etc. boost gauges, that you would select from parts manager, but that would need some main extension slot which under you then could put your custom slots for stuff, so you would not be limited to only one.

Using modslot one could of course make junk sets, but that is not helping much when you can select only one, or then I'm missing something about modslot.

There is of course some limits, like trunks of vehicles are not always usable, so stuffing bags there is not that simple thing to do, but making some small bits like pillow etc. could be nice way for new modders to learn jbeam and add a lot of variety to game.

@Fenneko, I doubt there is a vehicle without sunvisor, I think those have been always in vehicle since 50's and lot earlier too, but BeamNG universe starts from around 50's I guess.

Did the interior photos get released yet?

I thought I saw one, not sure if it had the roof in it

I don't think so. It might be there, but we'll have to see.

Should I ask in the official thread and see if I get an answer?

Anyways, I stick by my theory that they wherent added in the vehicles as they where the first ones added to the game, as they would naturally have less detail and skill, meaning details like sun visors wouldn't have been added, as the game progressed, interiors became more complex, thus, sun visors, but for the first four cars, that was imply not the case

Ehhh, why not, what's the worst that could happen, they ban you for asking for an interior shot?

Yeah those cars mentioned that are missing sunvisors are generally in need of major rework as contrast in quality and detail over more recent vehicles is quite high.

Then again vehicles are many years old, new techniques, new features and hardware giving more possibilities is certainly making more possible today, so probably those old vehicles will get sunvisors when they update content to new level, however even devs don't know yet what kind of performance level is available to them in coming year or so, updates to vehicles are probably going to happen after they know what kind of performance budget they will have to work with.

It can be they will make much nicer cars out from those early ones, sunvisors might be just part of the addon.

Anything less than 4K textures for example are quite lame for today's vehicles, especially as using texture atlases is a norm, currently D-series uses mostly 2K or 2048x1024 texture atlases, rear lights for example are barely 100px piece of texture. 6GB starts to be average/most common vram size today, while 2014-2015 it was 4GB or even less I guess, so evolution of hardware is also giving better possibilities now, which I guess is used with new vehicles.

So much more is possible and after 1 year I'm quite certain software is allowing much more too, then probably they will have revisit of old content to improve visual quality.

    Just my guess though.

Yeah, it's like back when the colours for vehicles where all flat opposed to having sun reflection, just small little stuff which gets fixed over time, honestly, I'd say a revamp on this kinda stuff usually occurs about a few months after the first user mentions it, so, merry Christmas, here's those sun visors you wanted, oh, and Italy map, but, your definately more excited for sun visors

Obviously you can't have Italy everywhere, but you can have sunvisors everywhere, priorities :)

If we made a poll, Italy versus four sun visors, I'm sure sun visors would win
