    So I've yet to see anything on the forums about this...
    Who remembers Twisted Metal and Vigilante 8?
    What if BeamNG had a combat mode separate from the scenarios, free-roam, or campaign(when it come out)?
    The way I could see this working potentially Is have the games base car be about 25% more durable overall, and having configurations that give the cars better armor, suspension durability, drive-train durability and performance and combat upgrades every time you succeed at defeating enemy vehicles.
    A victory could be achieved by disabling an enemy vehicle(killing the engine/breaking their drive shaft), or out right obliteration(doing so much damage that the enemy car falls apart/ blows up)
    certain cars can have good stats and bad stats
    [examples]
    Garvil Barstow
    speed = 85-100
    durability = 60-100
    reliability = 75-100
    weakness- front subframe

    Garvil T75
    speed =
    45-100
    durability = 95-100
    reliability = 80-100
    weakness-side mounted fuel tanks

    88 Ibishu Pesima
    speed =
    50-100
    durability = 60-100
    reliability = 80-100
    weakness-FWD trans-axle susceptible to breaking

    This is an idea i had while playing Fallout 4 of all things, so let me know if this seems like a good idea.

    So I've been thinking(not something I do often admittedly) about how armor and upgrades would be tackled...
    we'll use the T75 as a reference

    stock options would be basic(obviously)
    front durability could be increased by adding the Heavy Duty front bumper giving a front durability boost of 5%
    and a 10% ramming damage boost.
    The stock drive train would be a non-turbo i6 diesel with an 8 speed auto trany...
    you could get the 12 speed manual to give the T75 a 1% acceleratin boost, a 5% speed boost and the ability to Jake Brake(engine break) to give excellent stopping power, but you trade off with 15% reduced reliability.

    Still thinking of stuff but I think this is something that could be very interesting to add to the game.

    25% more durable, no. That would decrease the realism. But armor, yes. That would keep the realism while having the car's body less prone to dents and damage.

    very true, I suggested increased durability due to the fact that some cars break instantly if they hit a jump wrong, and that would be somewhat of an anti-climactic loss
