Video explaining why people should buy BeamNG.drive

I love this game, so here is a fan-made trailer explaining why I play this nearly every day.

 

It's a pretty well made video, but you really shouldn't use all those russian mods in an ad for the game.

 

... because you know that all of them are breaking copyright protections by third people?
Prejudge some more please.

I just don't know how this video is supposed to convince someone that its worth buying...theres no clear direction or any real demonstration of the physics, just random clips of cars falling or spinning out. Plus theres over 589,000 videos on youtube showcasing ROR and BeamNG physics as it is.

Its edited well though, you clearly know how to at least make a video lol and ditto with the Russian mods, they are crap, and will mislead people thinking you can install the game and cruise around in a fresh looking X5 which is not the case.

 

Wouldn't this be better off in the section of the forum that people who haven't bought the game yet can actually read?

 

Press L while using one of those illegal Russian mods. The skeleton doesn't fit the car because it's ripped from one of the default cars made by Gabester. Download some real and legal mods from here: http://www.beamng.com/forums/26-Vehicles

 

Thanks. The video shows the physics and level of detail, as you mentioned, as many others do. I just made this because I like this song and wanted to make a video of it. I use Russian mod cars because I like having a long list of cars to choose from. I did not make any nor did I make any legitimate ones, I simply use them for entertainment reasons.

meanwhile there are some russian modders which deliver work of better quality from time to time. As long you did not test all the models yourself, dont generalize that much as you have no idea what you are talking about realy if you did not see them yourself.
Did you check every model for the original creator of the mesh and then for the creator of the car? Then asked the original creator of the mesh whether he gave permission to the creator of the beamNG mod?
If not, you are assuming, not knowing. Please dont shape your assumptions as facts. Thats missleading.
If you would be a russian modder, who did buy the game and wishes to distribute your quality mods on other places than the official forum, maybe because you have your own community or one you are used to, then you would be pretty pissed about people who project the hate they have on some thief people(as they are not the complete citiziens of russia), onto every random russian mod they come across.
In case a russian who bought the game and created a vehicle with good quality, its his decission where to upload it, not ours. That mentioned, there is no reason left to generalize that much.
Bring specific argues for specific models or stop prejudging and generalizing, makes you look ignorant.

edit: not that i would be interested to discuss this further or even in detail about specific vehicles, im just allergic against ignorant shortminded prejudging and generalization. As its a source of unreasonable hate imo.

 

Calm down a little, I don't see why youd be offended anyway, you aren't russian.
In my opinion, he should have only used the stock vehicles in the video. It's rather misleading to use non official content that you have to download into the game.

edit: let me try this: im offended by the ignorance of some people, not because it is something personal, but because ignorance, generalization and prejudging has no favorite target. The target is replacable by anyone for any reason, as there is no logic or reason in those three behaviours. with other words, you might be the next.^^

I added the modded cars because though they are not obtained through normal methods, they can be obtained for free with a simple installation. It doesn't take much effort for a newcomer to install said mod.

 

I understand where you're coming from, but 90% of the mods on the russian sites are complete shit, 4% are made by people here, but re-uploaded and passed off as their own, then 1% are actually okay. If they really cared about modding, they'd get credit for them and release them here.

Yeah, but you make the cars look awesome, and people would be extrmely let down by the quality of them once they bought it and figured out how to download them. They'd be like "where is teh lamberginey. How do I get teh lamberginey." Then they'd go to the russian site, download them, and if their computer somehow defeated the viruses they'd be like "these cars suk! TIS GAEM SUKS!"

Only because you use two additional generalizations, "russian vehicles" and "those websites", when there wasnt even a specific website called before, doesn't make your opinion a fact, nor your generalizations become reasonable. Seems to be hard to differentiate and not only see things black and white but i dont want to rephrase my point a third time.

 

in the case of russian vehicles from those websites, its actually a FACT of video gaming
