After all this time i think we graphically reached a good point where everything modernized to a decent level except AA and visual effects. Current sprite textures are honestly speaking - in an outdated condition. 1. Fire. Tbh burning effect reminds me of burning engine in old GTA VC, SA. Same applies to a jpegged sprite texture of backfires. Reduce backfire smoke, there's almost little to no smoke on backfires, tuned engine doesn't create smoke particulates almost at all. And if short backfire can be seen as candle-like sprite, prolonged backfire should probably be a continuous flame spawning. 2. Headlight Sprites, there're sprite texture mods for a "realistic" headlight pattern, why it wasn't done before because it's something making night driving undriveable. 3. Taillight/Headlight - lens/small bloom. Definitely needs tweaking. The ones you see behind a mesh, looking at modern games, they gone from attaching a bloom on brake, now it's just glowmap + real lighting of nearby surroundings, rather enlarged red sprite on braking. 4. Weather. It's all been discussed a 100 times so i won't repeat, just say if all maps are using pbr and there's not much stuff being prebaked. Why not create weather presets, including change of roughness for at least road textures. Already been done by community. The update just out so, nothing to hurry about. Just giving some thought for dev team if someone there doesn't know what to do on a free time (joke)
