Every time I spawn up any kind of Cherrier FCV car, Vivace and Tograc, my FPS just straight up tanks. Any solutions to this?

well, it’s a very detailed car with very detailed textures and lots of moving parts. So that would be the cause of it.

Could we get your computer specs? Does this happen in safe mode?

    Specs:
    GPU: AMD Radeon R5
    Processor: AMD A8-7410 APU

For BeamNG you are going to want 16GB of ram.

When you open BeamNG in the launcher, it says safe mode right under launch game or something like that. Click the buttons around you will find it.

Ok thanks! May I ask what your specs are, just so I can get a handle on what my specs SHOULD be.

you can see right down there \/

The price for the laptop was around 1300 dollars three years ago. Gets me 65fps on grid map on max settings, and I can run 8 cars at medium settings on wcusa with 30 FPS. Good enough for me. Don’t buy laptops from Lenovo though as every Lenovo product I’ve gotten so far is **utter shit**. Do you want more details about the whole setup or does that suffice?

That’s all I needed to know, also I have a Lenovo product, 1 day it was running like a dream, now it’s just overheating every 5 minutes with regular use. It’s the thing I’m running BeamNG on, but I’m in Safe Mode now, gonna give it a go.

honestly I’ve posted so much about the problems with my y530 and p73 that everyone knows them.

4 motherboard replacements, 3 cpus, 3 gpus blah blah blah, minor stuff

yeah, very minor stuff, just spending more on repairs than I did for the whole PC, nothing serious...

ah yeah just spending 4 grand + on repairs for a 1300 dollar laptop. Some really very minuscule stuff.

What I’ve noticed is BeamNG is surprisingly intensive with FPS, I’m shocked. It’s a 2013 game, that is EARLY ACCESS. Just imagine the full game. Oof.

BeamNG's physics require a decent CPU, hence why you're having FPS issues

yeah...27 fps on gridmap actually hurts, but I want to build a new PC, I know it's relatively hard, but I just want a good PC....

    That's not true.
Sure 16 is better, but 8 GB is enough.
His problem is not related to ram.
His CPU is well under the recommended requirement, so that's most likely more related to the issue.

Okay, bit random but thought I’d just wanna jump in on this, but I just bought a new PC off eBay (did my research, legit, and the company is only an hour or so from me in Brisbane and has really good reviews)

Below I’ll chuck the specs, I think it should be enough but is there anything apart from the i3 9th gen that I should change? Also has a 240p ssd for quicker loading times, and for about $950 Australian dollars, it’s good value.

That seems pretty good, I wouldn't change anything other than CPU as you pointed out yourself.
