I've been trying to resolve this for weeks now, and have come to a conclusion that I don't even have an idea on what's going on.

What's happening? BeamNG (version 0.24.1.3.13750) on my laptop (i5-1135G7, 8 GB DDR4, Iris Xe, and a 256GB NVMe SSD) is running... simply put, like dog water, whenever there's a large amount of trees. I'll have roughly 30 to 40 FPS during the initial map loading, then I'll get spiked with 1 FPS (and a hang on "waitforGPU: 1000ms") until I close the game.

Does anyone have an idea on what's going on?

I have a similar issue, GTX 1070 eGPU connected to laptop, used to run smooth before the latest update. Now the framerate is unplayable low when dynamic reflections is on with around 15% GPU usage, and about 25% GPU with dynamic reflections off (and low framerate). CPU usage is around 50% in both cases. waitforgpu seems to be around 10-20ms.

Same with safe mode, disabled nav UI app and fullscreen vs borderless. Other games are fine (not a hardware issue). Also deep clean cache didn't solve it.

    My support ID: 127800

    Solved for me! Solution:
    - Open Steam library
    - Right click on BeamNG > Properties
    - Local Files > Verify integrity of game files...

For me it detected 7 files and replaced them with the original files.
I have had mods long ago but I've uninstalled them so I assume the game's state doesn't fully go back to original after uninstalling mods.
Now FPS is normal at around 70 and waitforgpu is around 5ms.
