Couple of things that could make the vintage 30's classic a bit more unique. I have Germany, USA and Brittan. First item is a a headlight cover which has that cut out in the middle, was used to reduce light intensity and give away position. Germany has a Grey one, England had black I think. Not sure if USA used them, if they did it would be an olive drab green. Secondly we'll need some 16x5 Steel spares, currently there's only 16x4's avalible. If you are not sure what 16x5's are, they are the offroad wheels for easier travel on dirt roads, they would look smashing on the spare slots. Third addition would be wartime registration plates. Germany had the SS and Whermacht plates, I think US had the usual golden letters with US ARMY on it or it may of been white (some research may be need it to confirm) and England may of had the union jack on it with something else. Germany also featured body colored dome hub caps as well. If anyone is knowlageable on USSR wartime swag based on the above, would also most likely be neat to have it as part of the package.
I found a vehicle that looks somewhat similar to the Nine, the GAZ-55. It was a military ambulance developed by the Soviets to transport injured troops. However, because of the heavy losses of men, the Soviets normally just used a standard supply truck instead. However, most of the smaller vehicles that the Soviets used in WWII were Lend-Lease Jeeps.
Technically, yes. The GAZ-55 was based on the GAZ-AA truck, which was a truck built from knock-down kits sent by Ford. However, it was quite different from the Ford vehicles, with a different wheelbase, length, width, height, and weight.
