I added some puddles to my map but I want to make sure how the cars will react to that (if they will react at all).

    According to the latest livestream,
there was a part (last archieved part) where the D15 hit the (spawned) Stop sign & then crashed into the sea.

The water interaction seemed kind of realistic (tough & with quite some mass, basically meaning, if you're going about 50km/h on the beach & head into the water [the water with respect to the beach being rapidly deepened], you will experience lots of stopping force, this won't apply to puddles though). Although there is no "water splash" still.
So, your puddles will work realistically :)

I think what he meant was when the car hits the water it makes puddles and splashes.
In the video where you talked about yes it did slow the car down but it didn't make any puddles or splash when the car made contact with the water.

they said they have reallistic aerodynamics and hydrodynamics. They probably don't have particles for splashes now and the water probably won't move.

Exactly what I talked about, only a bit more in-depth.
No, currently there's no 'water splash'.
The physics of the water is realistic & seems mostly complete though, so I would expect the 'splashes' to be made & completed soon.

@Samsuck: I'm not exactly sure, but I think I saw a part of the water move when the D15 hit it (at least the surface).

It should slow it down, on the livestream the cars slowed down a lot when they went into the water which is good. I don't know if there will by hydroplaning, I'd love to see it where the car skips over the water and loses control if you don't correct it or over-correct.
