I made rotary sounds for the Bolide a while ago (not released). I don't know how to make an engine though, I could probably make it drive like a rotary but not look like one. (I'm bad at modeling).
*tries to find any cars in existence with rotaries* Correction sir, the game needs a wankel engine, rotary is a misnomer.
Yes, there is a rotary aircraft engine, but I don't see very many aircraft in-game, and he's not specifically asking for an aircraft. This being a game primarily about cars, it can be assumed that he's using "rotary" to refer to wankel engines.
A rotary engine would be the weirdest thing ever in a car. Maybe if someone made a mod, but it would definitely not appear in the official game, unless the devs started make imaginary cars. Oh, btw, the internet can't tell the difference between a Wankel engine and an actual rotary engine.
y'all do know he's talking about the engines that come in Mazda cars like the rx-7, rx-8 and the Mazda road racing cars like the 787b, not the airplane engines
alright i didn't mean any harm, hell most people call them rotary engines, especially if you in the united states, ive always called them a rotary... guess im in the wrong to
Well, the misunderstanding was resolved earlier in the thread, the OP confirmed that he meant rotary, not wankel.
It would be cool if there was a wankel engined supercar in game. It would work well with the 200BX though.
The idea I had in mind was to make an impractical car that just looked weird. If anyone else has any ideas, please, go ahead and share it!
I'm thinking like a minivan. Yeah. Let's see a minivan with a massive rotary engine. That's totally logical. Yeah.
Rotary = Wankel AFAIK. Anyways, i would love to see some kind of RX7 or RX3 into the game, since the point of the devs its to add a big variety of cars into the game, something like an RX7FD or an RX8 would not fit. Something inspired by the RX3, or the SA22C, or the FC would fit just fine. On another note, i would love to see something like an AE86, as a RWD car with 60-40 weight distribution, and maybe a Silvia 12?
