In this video I drive on the race track. The bug here is that when accelerating, the vehicle may randomly slow down, or not go into a speed at which I can gear up manually. This can go on for a while, when it suddenly will accelerate in which I can gear up. But the moment I gear up, the car speed will drop to zero.

In other cases, when I accelerate in any gear, the engine revs but doesn't move.

My steering wheel is an Xbox Hori Overdrive.

    Can someone please help?

Have you tested with mods disabled, and does the issue happen when you use a keyboard/gamepad and disconnect the wheel?

    Hey.
I loaded up safe mode and plugged in the wheel, automatic transmission. The first thing that happens is that the car goes into reverse gear and starts reversing. It stops when I set it into manual. The wheel has automatic binds: A for gearing up and X for gearing down. I set it in drive, and when I step on the gas, the engine SLIGHTLY revs, but does not move the car. I went into 2nd gear, and down again. Then I set it into neutral. I press on the gas, the engine revs and I put it in drive which makes the car accelerate to 5 mph, not going any higher. I pressed S (brake/reverse) and it started accelerating faster, but it might be a coincidence.

When I plug out the wheel and set it to automatic again, it starts reverse driving without me touching anything.

Go to the controls tab in options, click on accelerate, and make sure its set to inverted axis. Do the same for brake.

Considering the blinking ESC symbol, it looks like it's going mad for some reason.
Now I'm curious. Try and select a vehicle without ESC (Any older cars, example: Covet) and see if the issue is still there.

But still doesn't describe the rest of the issues. Try to do what @I_Like_Trophy_Trucks said, could sound like a possibility too.

If nothing works, please post a new video but with the steering + pedals HUD added.

If the car is going into reverse that means the brake pedal is showing as always pressed. You might need to adjust deadzones in the controls to get it working correctly.

Thanks for the help guys! When I opened the brake settings it showed that it responded while idle, and I applied deadzone. I will probably go to the store I bought it from and get my money back. Again, thank you!
