With West Coast USA being "quite close to completion" in the words of @B25Mitch , I thought that now might be a good time to find out just what players are most looking forward to doing there. Once I get to the west coast, I'm going to: Travel to the Cement plant to see if it's named "Whennits Ready-Mix Ltd." Hit the dirt tracks in an "awful" Barstow and a "terrible" Moonhawk See how fast I can get a sport Roamer from the suburbs to the Turboburger drive-thru Race the Burnside Special and the Barstow down the canal (and the Bluebuck too if it's available) Try and fling a Miramar down a city hill and off the end of a pier Go for the long haul on the main freeway with my signature T-series and tanker Head off-road on the east side of the map with the "vandal" H-series Visit the construction sites and get an up-close and personal look at those tower cranes. Pit a high-end Etk or SBR4 against a Kingsnake on the drag strip Cruise the coast in a mist blue/white top Bluebuck (once again, if it's available) Anyway, that's my list. What's yours?
Well, I'll first drive around, and admire the quality of the map. Then after that I'll probably do what I usually do, drive fast and crash into stuff.
Alright, where are you going to drive fast and what are you going to crash into first? The barrels protecting the guardrail ends at exits look especially tempting to me...
Lots of trees, fire hydrants, light posts, mailboxes and other things to hit downtown. This should be an interesting thing to try!
I doubt it will come the next update. Maybe it will. who knows. But if it does, probably I will just drive around in a sbr4
As @B25Mitch said in the WCUSA update post, the map is very close to completion, so it may very likely be in the next update, we just need his confirmation...
Drool. Then drool some more. After that i will cruise in a ETK 800 in the rich parts. And drive a beater Covet in the poor parts. Try the new Race track. Try the drift map. And droll some more.
If I can run WCA at 20 FPS on lowest graphics with 2 cars after hiding the vegetals, the water, the background area, and whatever else I need to in the map.... 1. Chases (preferably in the city/highway sections, and possibly on the touge mountain), likely with lower-tier/base versions of the 1996 Pessima/LeGran/1988 Pessima/I-Series/Grand Marshal/Bolide, and possibly a chase on the highway "recreating" Duel with a base-model LeGran and the T-Series Ram Plow (pretty much what I do now in VR City). Pretty much, I'll be doing a lot of stuff like this: 2. Drifting on the drift track/touge mountain with whatever car I want (likely going to be cars with >250 horsepower daily drivers with street-legal parts and RWD/FWD drivetrains, as I'm not a big fan of 800 horsepower/AWD purpose-built drift cars that can't be used daily). 3. Racing at the big racetrack in whatever car I want to, likely with the Miramar/Moonhawk Track versions, the base-model versions of every car, and my own custom 1996 Pessima sleeper that I have pictures of above. 4. Drag racing cars at the drag strip, likely base-model versions of every car and the drag Moonhawk/Barstow/Burnside. 5. Cruising around the map in some old car (probably a LeGran/Moonhawk/Miramar/Burnside) and just enjoying the roads as much as I can.
