I'd like to see if what the mod vehicles (Oldsfullsize, Prasu, S-Series, etc.) would look like in an render.

Is that cycles right? The material you have seems a bit too metallic and there's no fresnel. Use this setup as starting point, it will blend the car's color (non-reflective) with a glossy layer (reflective), according to fresnel rules. Then modify them further, add more mix nodes and etc etc to get stuff like paint flakes and so on. You can also plug in the textures to get proper textured cars:
ermmmm i dont use blender for rendering or "cycles" so yeah im just going off of a cranberry red paint
