We are talking about the pre-tax wage.

In Puławy, Poland, that's about 2950 PLZ, or about $825. For that sort of money, I'd get an Audi 80 1.8E, or maybe a Volvo 740, if I'd find one.

In Minnesota, it's just over $2500, so I would get an early 2000s Mitsubishi Galant.

I would but a fiat tempra, theyre so cheap (because the fiat tipo, a chassis brother of it, catches fire easily), the brasilian's minimum wage is around R$880,00 (or more, its always changing) or almost 277.175 USD, and tempras 16v 2.0 are around R$2900,00 so with a few months saving money is possible to buy them, but there is always a risk for a little fire:
The car on fire is actually a fiat tempra

In that case. Median salary in UK across all fields of work, part time and full time is £22556. Leaving, well we'll round it up a few pence to £1880 a month

    92000 miles, 1.8. £1790

    Or a focus ST170

500€ isn't a lot of money, but enough for a beaten to death E34 520i, 2010 aveo taxi, or a relatively clean rwd lada.
You all know which I would go for...

For 1150€ I'd buy a well kept 3rd generation Legacy with four wheel drive.
