Oh so it was turning over, couldn't barely hear any starter. Well it might be the ignition switch or starter relay --- Post updated --- Wait did you you buy a parts store "remanufactured" jobber? Workmanship with old parts like these are less than stellar in most places
I finally remembered to take a picture of it (working memory go brrrr). I forgot to mention that we also got vinyl decals for all of the badges so they are red as well.
Oh, that's actually not bad. I thought you were talking about blacked-out lights. Also, nice profile photo.
Bled the brake, just cos And re-re-re did the floors, also found a nice hole Yeah thats... thats just great, fender is what you can see through the hole Tried repairing the clock, the mechanism works, but the digicals is completely burnt out and ruined And the threads on the old, good carburettor main body fully stripped right out, so now in goes another one of my specially made frankencarbs, i bought two other old 4300s BBDs off the net so ill see those sometime soon, along with hopefully some different tuning bits in them! Thats a ziptie holding the air horn to the main body!
I was confused --- Post updated --- Actually he's correct. Made by Sebring-Vanguard after being purchased by Commuter Vehicles Inc.
Ah back at it again Bought two different carbs... And the joy of tearing down and getting all the good stuff out of the two begins And got the goodies i wanted, interestingly, on the top photo, the right carburettor looked to be in terrific condition, with no varnish, rust or corrosion at all anywhere inside. Dare i say it had been rebuilt many moons ago, and had simply sat of a shelf for years, though the guy i bought it off said it came off a car. I doubt it was on the car very long before he got it... All the goodies i want It probably ran really good with this carb, but the moment he got the car he tore it off for... (gasp)... a Holley
Have you got lots of prior experience with that clay stuff? I"m wondering how it might go on less than ideal paintwork, perhaps you might be able to tell me?
Yeah you've got these things you put onto your coolant reservoir with some kinda special fluid in 'em that changes color when you've got exhaust gases in your coolant. They're called CO2 testers I believe so I guess that's what they react to.
