What do the suffix numbers on LOD meshes mean? I am referring to static objects, where each level of detail mesh has a different number. I know that larger numbers are for higher detail meshes that will be visible closer to the camera, but does it mean metres? Poly count? Something else?

See the image numbers 100 and 300 on the end. I know to put them there, but what exactly do they mean?

It's the minimum size in pixels of that object, to be using that version.

ie. the '100' version will be used when the object occupy between 100 and 299 pixels. If it occupies 300, the '300' model is used in the example you posted.
