Its late at night and I don't really feel like typing up a full forum post here... I can get you sources if you need them later. What do you guys think about it? This new chat filter crap which was rolled out under this zero-tolerance policy stuff has basically ruined my ability to continue my passion of creating cars on ROBLOX. Not to mention my account is liable to be permanently banned at this point for copyright infringement. Has this changed how you feel about ROBLOX? Certainly has changed how I feel about ROBLOX. (I guarantee that this post if put on the ROBLOX forums right now, would have atleast 1 word hashed out, maybe more.) I am interested to hear what people here have to say about this.
It was done whilist I was off aswell, I read something regarding zero tolerance on the dev forums. http://devforum.roblox.com/t/improving-the-safety-of-our-community/33201/7 Read down and one of the staff members mentions Zero Tolerance on child safety --- Post updated --- At the current state with the filter "Child safety" seems to apply to everyone.
I can't even send my friends a song ID. I suggest we join a group that rebels against it (yeah, that exists)
It drives me nuts. I mean, I get the fact they need to censor shit so kids' parents will give them money, but Mitsubishi being censored? Come on. The word Mitsubishi gets censored, but you can say "xgayassnigga" (blame blizzard422 for finding that one), and even "yiffd", so roblox really isn't trying that hard. (not trying to make offensive post, just reporting the fact you can say those things without it being censored)
They'd rather have false positives than false negatives... I would quit if I wasn't bound to the place by means of peer pressure.
i feel like if roblox didn't ignore the veterans, we would be in a better place. basically they need to listen to the people who has BEEN there.
When I occasionally use the studio, I try to make cars. Now, does this mean I won't be able to make anything real?
There have been recent tales of users getting banned for real life logos and designs. After all it is a ToS violation to make real things in ROBLOX. They just choose when and when not to enforce it I guess.
All I know about this is it caused most of the communities to move to external communications. I know RoadGeeks has a Discord, and the car community has a shitload of them, I think a few communities may even still use skype.
I use skype to talk to people nowdays. Although I am sure that ROBLOX is going to make the filter worse once they find out people are still trying to get outside communications going, despite filtering a few of them.
