What folder im working from when i make a track!

Hi!

I have been making a track (Corr Racing)

I started working on the track from this directory: SteamMapps > Common > BeamNG.drive > levels > mytrack!

But when an updated come a-lot was gone from the track i made, But i located the saved map in Documents > BeamNG.drive > levels > mytrack!
It had the newest updated file.
So i putted that in the standard level folder (SteamMapps > Common > BeamNG.drive > levels > mytrack!) so it merged the folder together and everything come back.

But as i save the track after some more editing i had to do the same thing. It saves on: Documents > BeamNG.drive > levels > mytrack!


But the strange thing is when i make a preview picture i have to put it in the SteamMapps > Common > BeamNG.drive > levels > mytrack! to get it to work!

So my BIG qustion! From what folder do i work from?! Is it from both?!
