What happened to narwhal?

    i'm new to the forums and i keep seeing things like "R.I.P narwhal". can anyone tell me what happened to him/her?

    narwhal was a pretty knowledgeable and respectable member afaik, but they also had a lot of mental issues i believe.
    i was inactive when it all went down, but apparently narwhal had some kind of breakdown causing them to post controversial content, and as mentioned above, took their own life.
    i didn't know them much, i was never close to them, but i talked to them a few times. and god, do i miss them.
