what happened to the mazda rx7 mod?

I was playing beamng yesterday and i was using the old rx7 mod, and i was wondering what ever happened to the mod and why it was never continued by the dev?
Can someone help me understand what happened?

It was a free mod, it happens when the developer loses interest or can't put the time into maintaining it.

i remember seeing (like 2 years ago) the dev for the original rx7 was making a subaru brz/toyota 86 mod, but it was never released, it would be sad if that talent left the beamng community
