I have a few mods that I've gathered threw some mystical Russian websites that have no author credited and I'm considering fixing them due to the fact they have missing textures, or the glass doesnt look good and they seem kind of outdated. Do you guys think its a good idea to fix these mods? What is your opinion on doing such things? I know a few people are fixing the most popular BeamNG mods but I want to at least try to contribute to something.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with fixing them for personal use.
If you want to reupload them your fixed versions, I would advise at least trying to contact the author for permission beforehand, and crediting the author when you do post it.

I don't really plan on reposting them, unless I do a good job because at the end of the day they are I think the community term for it is a meshlap mod. Basically just a mesh with little to no good crash physics. I will end up probably working on a 180sx mod I found that could use a good fix. I have no blender experience so I probably wont screw around with the JBeam or Models, mostly scripts cause that's what I'm good at.
