I7 8700k paired with an RTX 2080. The only issue I'm running into is that the computer tends to crash and reboot if you hit the front left corner with a chair leg, for an example. Clocked at 4 GHz I believe, and can run all BeamNG maps at 60 FPS at the highest settings.
Maybe he uses the computer for heavy work (rendering stuff idk), not only for gaming so he chose to have a more raw cpu power over a better gpu. Just my 2 cents
Used to own a machine sporting an I7-4790k and a GTX 960, before that I had: A shitty Acer laptop running a Core I5-4690T with an "NVidia 850Ti" (which doesn't exist.) It was fine in the first month but after that it completely sucked shit at running any game with 3d graphics.
