Both cars come from two completely different eras... which feels kinda like an unfair comparison. The PT is trying to be a throwback retro type of car, while the Pacer is trying to give the feel of a larger car while still remaining relatively small and economic with a look that's radically different from the typical car designs at the time. If I had to pick between the two cars, the Pacer looks more interesting to me and it's worth noting the Pacer has unequal door lengths: the passenger side door is longer than the driver's side door... and yes, it's quite "thicc" for it's small size. There's even an ad that outright compare's the Pacer's round rear end to the bottom of a pleasantly plump female human. The PT for some reason feels very "meh" to me for being a retro styled car. I personally think the only american car maker that got the "retro throwback" right was Ford with their Mustang in 2005 as that's an interesting car to me. Despite the name plate having a rather bad reputation of awful drivers always trying to show off their V8 power which results in a crash.
Idk about those VWs. those are the only fucking cars I see every day here in austria so maybe Im just used to them by now. Also, cant deny this thing looks badass
Well...for me it depends. I used to absolutely HATE the PTC until within the past one or two years. They have to have specific color and rim combos to be nice. What makes PTCs bad in my opinion are people that put unnecessary/cheap "mods" like stickers and AutoZone chrome accessories. As for the Pacer, I always loved how it looked and the quirky facts that come with it. Like others though, I'm more fond of the older Pacers with the thin grille. Honestly, this PT Cruiser is pretty nice looking to me :/
Yes it's an older thread, but I came across it while searching for a PT Cruiser for BeamNG, and wanted to say: Damn bit of a tossup for me. I don't mind the PT. I'm not one of the many that have a disposition towards it. The Pacer is a bit of a car I don't really care much about but not one I dislike. The problem is if stock for stock, It's the Cruiser. Though if modification is something to be done well.. Cruiser + Modified Srt4 engine. AWD and other things. Pacer 360 stroked to 408. keep RWD, with a drag/rally modification. etc.. I guess Pacer if modded. Based on stock or not stock it's undecided for me.
JSYN there is no pt cruiser for beamng, but I have been thinking of making one. I just need to find a good enough 3D model of one.
Pacer has the same engine as the xj chrokee, and it is a very durable car plus the pacer x with a 401 v8 so pacer any day
