What difference in FPS should I expect between the techdemo terrain and truck and the actual full game with larger terrains? Also, is there a key to show my fps? Sorry for asking a question with a probably obvious answer.
ctrl+f11. You're welcome. Ddin't really notice much framerate difference between the full game and demo, but I have a high-spec system. Both ran comfortably at 40 FPS.
Well, what are your specs? Also, some of the maps in the alpha do lower the FPS a bit but it's not much if you have a good enough system.
RoR w/Greece and the Burnside is a pretty good bench IMO, it seems you can expect similar performance out of DRIVE.
I believe he only has a Sandy Bridge i3 with HD3000. I disabled my GPU (so 2nd gen i5 with HD3000) and I got 25fps the highest on regular maps with everything turned down the lowest or off. Should be good enough to play the games. Just play with the stripped down cars for best fps.
i have the same question. also how much does the fps drops with a second car ? i get only 23-33 fps on the demo. ( the settings change doesnt change the fps too much. on everything high incl. ssao etc. i get about 23-25 and on everything on low and without ssao i get maybe 25-30 fps) thats my only reason why i dont buy drive. in about a year or so i will configure a new pc. now i have an old dual core running with 3.0 ghz. intel e6750 dual core geforce gtx260 and 4 gig of ram i thhink its 800hz motherbeard was a good one dont know the exact specs on that. it was fast about 5 years ago when i build it buit now its an avrige pc. what do you thikn can i expect on the fps on the alpha. also there is aa big difference driving the car in the demo normal and driving it when its stripped. then the fps increases to 50 or so and then it also feels smooth.
