dates earlier on the 3rd party site, 2014 specifically. There are mesh differences though. More importantly, that 3rd party site is ripping off a mod from this site: http://www.beamng.com/threads/vw-sand-rail.6071/
Which coincedentally is by the same guy. So yeah, this is essentially an updated version of an old mod, not stolen from 3rd party sites.

 

That is my old version of this mod. It was originally based on the hatch.
I wish there was a way to keep people from taking my mods and labeling them as their own.

You can put your logo/name on the car as a mesh so everyone will know its yours, you could also put your name on the title. I always do that on my mods and they didn't reupload as their own (I may be wrong though as I didn't look deep).

Well darn. I thought with the RG logo it would stop them, somehow its got only acrain's name on it.
Now we are getting off topic a bit, I have yet to test this vehicle. I will tomorrow.

 

put ur name in a folder in the mod called please read and put ur name in it
then, make it view only

 

no, nothing stops them, though many of them if you have prior evidence that you disallow that mod to be shared and then complain to the site directly, they will either amend descriptions to point towards your work or take it down.

Great mod just needs more power, steering, customization and option to change color.

 

It's a nice vehicle, but as previously said, could do with better steering and more power. Possibly better gearing as well, as going up hills makes me continuously switch between 2nd and 3rd gear. Deformation I don't really care about and I find, at the moment, that it doesn't need customization as it is already a unique vehicle.

Put it a a rar file and password protect it the only way to get pass that code is to download a virus loaded software

 

which then stops legitimate people downloading it too

 

ohh darn forgot. This site should have a viewer so only people that have accounts can see.
