Where are official opponent races?

Hey,

I´ve been wondering for a while why there are no official scenarios featuring a race against opponents. I understand the main reason may be the AI is still heavily WIP, but if there is already a community mod Figure 8 Race by Crazikyle, which is, to my knowledge, the only one that works and is really fun. Currently the AI seems to be in a state where simple opponent races should be officially possible, no?

PS! I did notice a screenshot in the last blogpost hinting, that we may be getting something with the next update, fingers crossed:

Step 1: go to a racetrack.
Step 2: Spawn another car.
Step 3. Get the AI app.
Step 4. set the other car to "random."
Step 5. race that boi

 

Been doing that since the AI app came out, not really official race scenario now, is it?

There are some races in the Utah campaign, aren't there?

 

Oh yeah, forgot about these, but what I had in my mind was a multiple opponent race like the Figure 8 scenario. The races in Utah campaign were awesome though!
