My GPU and power supply both make a racket, it's bad enough that I was considering taking it back (RMA) but I couldn't be bothered to.

I just gave my friend my old psu, his lights are buzzing even more so he doesn't bother :D
I guess and upgrade from an Aerocool AP-650 to a Seasonic X-1050 was totally unnecessary, but it will stand for the rest of my life ^^

Actually the water cooler just tells you it runs hot and that they wanted to charge you more for a gimmick than put a decent air cooler on it.

AMD hardware runs super hot for performance output.

Good ol' Radeon cards, high performance, high heat, low cost

    RX 480.

It's generally considered faster than the GTX 1060, and usually costs a little less.
Prices are pretty low right now, I'm not sure why.

    Faster than a 3gb 1060, not a 6gb 1060.

Is that right? I was under the impression that many reviewers were somewhat biased towards the 1060 but overall for daily use the RX 480 is a better choice.

Anyways, the RX 5XX will be out in a few weeks. We will see then.

That means RX480 can be had for a pocket money, AMD is going quite strong now, they might have bit higher heat output, but for the money they are putting quite nice performance.

Very true. Right now a ROG STRIX 480 8GB is 200USD after rebates. Almost 100USD off compared to a few months ago. I'm going to grab one tomorrow from Amazon.com.

Highly recommended to any in the market.
