So ... after hearing the film mentioned once or twice in passing in other areas of the forums, I thought that it might be a good idea to create a thread so that the inevitable discussion about it in the two weeks prior to the film's release doesn't spill out into other threads and annoy some of our more uptight forum users. Long story short, I'm going. I'm excited for this one; the combination of a more serious tone, the improved animation, the "sports film" plot, and the fact that there will be personalities inspired by legendary NASCAR racers (I still can't believe that they've got Junior Johnson himself doing voice work!) has me confident that Pixar is going to rise far above the messy spy-comedy that was one of their worst films (but not their worst). Heck, I figure that the demolition derby scene alone is going to be worth the eight bucks it takes to get into the local theater: So, who else is going? 2d or 3d? Where do we think this thing is going to end up ranking compared to other Pixar films?
I'm gonna see it, that is all you need to know from me... Only it better be better than the trashy Cars 2 film.
I've heard a few good things about it. I'll probably watch it when it comes out on Netflix just for the nostalgia.
I saw it a few days ago, and it was just unbelievely amazing. Keep going Pixar. Just don't see this Cars 3.
Oh god that, my grandparents thought it was the Pixar thing and bought it for me, now I put it in my dad's range rover and the ejector motor is now broken, so I can watch that or the outside world
I think you should burn it, to put it out of its misery. First take out the plastic so you don't kill yourself. But even before that you need to ask your dad if you can dismantle the radio.
