Why do my cars only have one colour? (custom config i made)

for some reason my cars only have ONE specific colour.
like say the car is red and i change it to blue. it stays red.

is this normal or is something wrong with my game?

 

the color saves with the config, you can change it when you go to the config menu and go to colors.
