Try lowering your gamma, it seems like it is set too high.

That's not the cause.

It's a known issue with trasparent materials and flares, it happens also on some other vehicles

Its a problem with the headlight light-emitters and the transparent texture in front of it. We are aware of this problem and its on our TODO list.
