Why does the in game repo suck so badly?

Ill download a map or a car mod off the in-game repo, 80% of the time it wont fully install into my mods folder, so I go to the beam website, download it, and it works fine.

Why?

For example, I tried to download the "River Highway" map. It said installed but never went into my mods folder. I came here to download and it works fine.

 

In the top right corner does it say “Repo error: check log” or something like that when downloading the mod?

 

Not to be a bearer of unwelcome news good sir, but the simulator repository functions precisely as the developers intended. If you are unhappy with its performance of your query, you are more than welcome to simply not use the integrated repository.

Personally, I much admire of how the simulator repository elects to display .GIF images as artistically interpreted dot matrices.

If you fail to admire such soulful integration of functionality, you may simply not have what it takes to be of the target audience.
